CONCURRENT PLANNING FROM THE FEDERAL REGULATIONS

STATES HAVE THE OPTION TO MAKE REASONABLE EFFORTS TO MAKE AND FINALIZE ALTERNATIVE PERMANENCY PLACEMENTS CONCURRENTLY WITH REASONABLE EFFORTS TO REUNIFY A CHILD WITH HIS/HER FAMILY.
STATES ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE REASONABLE EFFORTS TO FIND PERMANENCY FOR CHILDREN WHO CAN NOT RETURN TO THEIR BIOLOGICAL PARENTS

STATES MUST CONCURRENTLY IDENTIFY, RECRUIT, PROCESS, AND APPROVE A QUALIFIED ADOPTIVE FAMILY FOR A CHILD WHEN IT FILES OR JOINS A PETITION TO TERMINATE THE PARENTAL RIGHTS TO THAT CHILD...
